Postemergence herbicide control options for bearded sprangletop have been limited and ineffective. No published research was found that evaluated bearded sprangletop control in turfgrass sod production with postemergence herbicides. Therefore, this research was undertaken to determine the potential of various postemergence herbicides for bearded sprangletop control and to determine the tolerance of turfgrasses commonly grown along the upper Texas Gulf Coast to these herbicides.
