The first part of this presentation helps consultants, growers, and other practitioners interested in corn regardless of their location. This part examines the basis of corn yield by looking at yield and its components and what it takes to maximize yield. Leaf area dynamics and the importance of maximizing kernel numbers are key learning points. At the end of this part of the presentation, you’ll understand how yield components work together to produce yield, the importance of maximizing leaf area, and the impact of stress at different development stages on kernel numbers and yield.
