Summary: This webcast focuses on the management of stink bugs in corn with an emphasis on early season recognition though timely field scouting. Stink bugs can attack corn at almost any growth stage causing a variety of plant injury damage types. Scout need to be able to distinguish stink bug damage from that of other early-season, cryptic, corn pests. Preventive treatments are of little value as stink bugs are sporadic pests. IPM thresholds have been established for stink bugs to aid in decision making in order to minimize cost and maximize returns.
