First Report of <i>Hibiscus latent Fort Pierce virus</i> in New Mexico

After drying, samples were stained with 2.5% aqueous uranyl acetate and examined in a Hitachi H7000 transmission electron microscope. Image shown was taken at 80,000x magnification, scale bar = 100 nm. Image shows tobamovirus-like rods that were typically seen in symptomatic leaves but not in extracts of asymptomatic leaves.
