Disease forecasts are issued every 2 to 3 days based on the reports of disease outbreaks and weather variables along the projected pathway of sporangia transport. The forecasting web page has a commentary on regional weather and an outlook of the spread of cucurbit downy mildew to specific areas. Disease risk is coded in yellow, orange, and red colors that represent low, moderate, and high risk levels, respectively. The risk map is interactive and the user can zoom in on the map for more detailed information on a general area affected in a given county.
