Welcome from the Editor
Welcome to Forage and Grazinglands, an electronic journal dedicated to the communication of information related to forage, range, grazing, and conservation issues and ideas. Our goal is to provide new, timely, and relevant information to the broad community of forage and grazinglands professionals and practitioners. Forage and Grazinglands is the third journal of the Plant Management Network, built on the model and success of their previous two journals (Plant Health Progress and Crop Management). Using the electronic process, we plan to provide a dynamic product, capable of utilizing an array of media, such as color graphics, video, and animation to communicate ideas. The use of electronic reviews and publishing will speed up the review and editorial process, allowing us to deliver information in a timely manner. I would like to thank all the people and organizations who have made this journal possible. The leadership of the Crop Science Society of America, the American Society of Agronomy, and the American Phytopathological Society had the vision and foresight to develop the Plant Management Network, including Forage and Grazinglands. The staff of the Plant Management Network provide us with a dynamic forum for communication, challenging us to create and explore new ways of communicating ideas and issues related to forage and grazinglands. It is my sincere hope that this journal will provide our readers with timely and valuable information to enhance their personal and professional lives. |
