Research
Producers in the Southern High Plains need more information about their options for growing sorghum forages as hay when irrigation water is not available, and about performance in less than optimum situations of brown midrib sorghum forages, which have increased digestibility due to reduced lignin content. The objective of this study was to compare dry matter yield of forage sorghum and photoperiod sensitive sorghum forage types at different planting dates under rainfed conditions.
