Submission Procedure

Electronic Submission Procedure

To be considered for publication, all peer-reviewed manuscripts must be submitted electronically via PMN's Manuscript Central site.

Non-peer-reviewed items (Perspectives, Turfgrass Science and Industry Trends, News Items, and Letters) should continue to be submitted as email attachments to the Editorial Office or the journal editors.

Before submitting your manscript, please see the Manuscript Preparation section for instructions on file formatting, naming, etc. Also, please complete the Author Checklist to assist you in preparing your mansuscript.

Peer-reviewed manuscripts:

Follow the URL mc.manuscriptcentral.com/pmn to log-in to PMN's Manuscript Central system. To submit your manuscript, follow the on-screen instructons in your "Corresponding Author Center."

First-time users of PMN's system must create an account by clicking "Create Account" and following the on-screen directions.

Assistance with technical difficulties in submission is available from ScholarOne, Inc., the parent company of Manuscript Central. First, however, click the “Get Help Now” button on your screen and consult “FAQs” (frequently asked questions), or contact ScholarOne Customer Support:

Authors of such manuscripts should follow a separate procedure. Submissions should be e-mailed as text, image file, and/or spreadsheet attachments to kgegenhuber@scisoc.org.

Alternately, submissions may be mailed on 1.4 MB diskettes, 100 MB zip, or CD-ROM to:

Whether emailed or surface-mailed, submissions should be accompanied by an e-mail message or cover letter containing the following information:

• Title of article;

• Journal (Applied Turfgrass Science, Crop Management, Forage and Grazinglands, or Plant Health Progress);

• Type of article (Perspectives, News Items, etc.);

• Name, title, affiliation, e-mail and mailing addresses, telephone and fax numbers of corresponding author;

• List of attached documents by filename, title, and format (e.g., Word 6.0 for Windows, Excel);

• List of attached image files by figure number and format (e.g., jpeg);

• A statement that all authors have reviewed the manuscript and approved its submission to the Plant Management Network.

Publication fees:

The Plant Management Network requires a publication fee for accepted manuscripts. Read the details.

PMN Update:

All authors of a submitted manuscript will be added to the distribution list of our new article alert e-newsletter, PMN Update, from which they may unsubscribe at any time using links provided in each issue.
