"Focus on Potato"
Focus on Potato is a commodity specific web portal of the Plant Management Network (PMN). This resource is intended to enhance the health, management, and production of potato crops through webcasts and other science-based management information. The project is headed by Dr. Gary Secor, North Dakota State University, USA.
Currently, our Focus on Potato site exists only as a prototype to demonstrate the high quality, credible information it promises for those involved in potato research and production, including growers, advisers, researchers, educators, students, and others.
To launch this resource, Plant Management Network seeks continuing support from all sectors of the potato community, including companies, commodity groups, nonprofits, governmental agencies, and philanthropic organizations. This support will assure the ongoing development of six inaugural webcasts and at least one webcast per month thereafter.
Plant Management Network is a not-for-profit educational resource jointly managed by the American Society of Agronomy, American Phytopathological Society, and Crop Science Society of America with the cooperation of nearly 70 companies, universities, and nonprofit partnering organizations.
