The primary mission of the Agriculture and Natural Resources Program Unit is to assist owners
and users of West Virginia's natural resources to gain competitive social and economic benefits from these
resources. The Unit, through research and experience-based information, will empower the stewards and users of West
Virginia landscapes to manage the agriculture, forests, water, soil, wildlife, and other natural resources in a
sustainable manner that will satisfy the needs of the current and future generations. This education/technology
transfer effort, developed by a partnership of researchers, educators and citizens, will help resource users
develop critical skill and problem-solving abilities necessary to make the correct natural resource decisions.
