Research

Wild oat is a serious weed in cereals that is difficult to control due to long-term survival in the weed seed bank. The objectives of this study were: (i) to characerize the mycobiota of wild oat seeds; (ii) screen representative isolates for their seed decay potential; and (iii) investigate the role of soluble hull chemicals as a mechanism of resistance to seed decay.
