Evaluation of the New Compound Oxathiapiprolin for Control of Downy Mildew in Basil

The objectives of this study were to evaluate oxathiapiprolin applied as a seed treatment and foliar applications for its efficacy to control downy mildew of basil under greenhouse and field conditions, and to determine the effectiveness of oxathiapiprolin when it was applied as tank mixes or in alternation with other registered fungicides of different chemical classes. In addition, in vitro assays were conducted to assess sensitivity of P. belbahrii to oxathiapiprolin.
