Review

The evaluation of internet-based disease prediction systems in a quantitative manner is an important step if they are to be used in modern agricultural production. Bayes’s theorem is one way in which the performance of such predictors can be studied. Part of the proceedings of "Managing Risk to Minimize Crop Loss," a symposium organized by the Plant Disease Losses and Regulatory Committees of APS.
