Ames, Iowa (December 13, 2005) – The Council for Agricultural Science and Technology announces a new workshop to be held January 23 - 25, 2006, in Las Vegas, NV. The three-day workshop will provide a science-based summary of all aspects of turfgrass and water management in urban landscapes; review the current use of nonpotable water sources and their impact on turfgrasses and the environment; and identify best management strategies and technologies to enhance the environmental quality of urban turfgrass systems.
