 x Percent necrosis: visual estimate of the percent of the ring that transects the plot containing necrotic turf. Quality ratings: scale from 1 to 9, where 1 = dead turf, 6 = acceptable quality and 9 = highest turf quality.

 y Treatments were applied on 15 and 28 July, and 11 and 27 August 2004.

 z Values are means of three replicates. Means followed by the same letter within each column are not significantly different according to Fisher’s protected LSD (P ≤ 0.05).
