Posted 17 November 2006. Crop Management. Dimension Herbicide Now Available For Nursery Use New Sprayable Formulation Can Go Over the Top of Field-Grown Ornamentals Dow AgroSciences LLC. Indianapolis, Indiana (October 27, 2006)--With the introduction of Dimension® 2EW specialty herbicide, controlling grassy and broadleaf weeds just got a lot easier for ornamental producers. Dow AgroSciences has received federal registration for Dimension 2EW, an innovative new formulation of the widely used Dimension crabgrass preventer. This newly available formulation can be sprayed over the top of field-grown nursery ornamentals and landscape ornamentals. Dimension 2EW also provides early postemergence control of crabgrass and preemergence control of more than 40 other grassy and broadleaf weeds in established lawns, golf courses, commercial sod farms, noncropland and industrial sites. Dimension 2EW, which contains the active ingredient dithiopyr, is a water-based formulation that's easy to measure for any spray volume and is available in half-gallon, 2˝ gallon and 30 gallon containers. It has excellent tank mix compatibility with Gallery® specialty herbicide, for example.
