Given the current situation with groundwater for irrigation in the Mississippi Delta, on-farm experiments were initiated to investigate the use of irrigation sensors for more efficient irrigation. Over the past two growing seasons, we have increased cotton yield while decreasing the number of irrigations. Data generated from these experiments will be used to help growers become increase groundwater use efficiency.
