J. B. Allen, J. P. Bond, and M. E. Schmidt

June 2005

Research

In 2002-2003, a nematode survey was conducted in the southernmost counties of Illinois. Species in eight nematode genera were detected with four genera having species considered to be important soybean pathogens. Elite breeding lines and cultivars were evaluated for resistance to gall formation and reproduction by the nematode. Resistance was identified in several soybean genotypes.
