Research

Although there is good evidence that fungicide applications made at flowering help control Botrytis fruit rot of strawberry at harvest, it is not clear if applications made just before harvest provide any additional benefit for control of postharvest Botrytis fruit rot. The purpose of this study was to determine whether application of more effective systemic fungicides just prior to harvest would provide sufficient control of postharvest Botrytis fruit rot to justify their expense.
